Lovely spacious house with countryside views all round in a very peaceful location. Everything you need and very clean. Only downside was parking - nowhere easy to turn at the end of a narrow lane.

Accurate property description and photos. Quiet roads - easy to turn into and out of Netherton Colliery and the 'main road' isn't close enough for noise to be an issue. Indeed, the location is exceptionally quiet for somewhere with a town and villagemehr anzeigen

Watching swifts swooping over the field of ripening wheat at the rear. Watching horses and rabbits in the field at the front. Plenty of well-used walking routes on the doorstep. Within easy reach of beautiful beaches, several National Trust/English Heritage properties, the newly reopened Northumberland Line train route into Newcastle, etc. |

The towel in the kitchen was adequate for drying hands but it would be helpful to have at least one tea towel - we were glad we brought one. The dishcloth was a J-cloth cut in half (or smaller?) - only just about adequate but understandable because pmehr anzeigen

On one warm weekday with the bedroom (at the front) window open, distant rumbling could be heard as aircraft took off around 05:50 from Newcastle Airport - the wind direction probably didn't help and it wasn't an issue for the ensuite double bedroom (at the rear). Track beyond the property (used to turn around) is very rough in one place - not sure if that's a local authority issue or if it's a private road... |

We chose the Old Store house as our daughter was getting married nearby and we wanted somewhere to chill before and after with our other daughter and grandkids. The house was amazingly homely and everything you needed it to be. We will definitely recmehr anzeigen
