Extremely clean, cosy, perfection location, fully equipped

A beautiful apartment in a quiet location although in the heart of Whitby. Spacious, beautifully furnished and altogether brilliant!

The mattress is quite hard but personal preference, my partner thought it was really uncomfy but I Ioved it. It was really clean and the added little extras like milk and biscuits was such a lovely treat when we arrived after a 3 hour drive, great value for money and we would definitely stay here again!

The apartment is so cosy and welcoming and Mel went above and beyond: from helping me upon arrival, to the tasty treats left for guests to enjoy, as well as being so accommodating around my arrival and departure times. The property has everything you need, is homely, beautifully decorated and maintained, and is brilliantly located. It was so quiet and comfortable. I fell in love with Whitby and would love to stay at Oystercatcher again in the future.

Very good communication from booking to leaving. The apartment was clean and well equipped. Some little welcoming extras like milk, coffee, tea and biscuits. Very quiet yet close to the centre of Whitby.

It was beautiful and so peaceful! We couldn’t have asked for anything more after where we usually stay has been sold! We will definitely be looking to come back when we return to Whitby next year. Thank you so much

Very comfortable, clean and warm. Conveniently located just behind the Main Street but not far from Cranberry Swamp- an excellent cafe.

It was exceptionally clean and well presented, well equipped with everything you'd need when staying somewhere for a few nights and the added extras (sweets, fresh milk in the fridge, snacks etc) were a lovely kind gesture.

Considering its very close to the main area it is very peaceful after a long day out exploring. Flat was clean and very well equipped. Love the treats, much appreciated.

Everything about the Oystercatcher was first class. From the moment we arrived it was brilliant. It was among the cleanest places we have ever stayed and the facilities we excellent.

The apartment is located in a quiet side street slightly above the town center and the harbor of Whitby. Shops and pubs are about a 5-minute walk away, and the sea can be reached in about 10 minutes. The apartment is very cozily furnished, with a well-equipped kitchen, spotlessly clean, and just like in the photos. You can park at a reasonable price (pay and display) about 50 meters from the house. We felt very comfortable and would come back anytime.

Great location for walking into Whitby. Lots of shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants within walking distance. Close to all amenities but peaceful road. Would return .

We were also lucky enough to be gifted a slightly later check out. Myself and my partner arrived at 8pm, tired from a long day at work and then a three hour drive, only to struggle to get into the property (we were at the wrong house!!), we called the emergency telephone number and were helped promptly and efficiently! The lady we spoke to was more than happy to help even though we were calling so late, a real credit to the Finest Retreats team! We will 100% be back, hopefully with a bit more sunshine this time

Has to be one of the nicest, homeliest & cleanest Airbnb’s I have stayed in. The place was spotless, everything you need is there, it’s like a home from home, nice quiet surroundings, there was the seagulls, but you’re on the coast so you expect it. West Cliff car park a 5 minute walk with free parking till March 1st. I’d recommend this place to anyone, this is how you Airbnb. I’ll be back again for sure, 100% satisfied, thank you so much.

When you book any place you take a little gamble that it might not meet expectations but this place is the opposite. It’s well furnished, great condition and possibly the most well equipped self catering accommodation we have ever been in. From sharp knives to pans and dishes in every size, baking trays … everything. The place was spotless and the linens immaculately presented. It may only take a couple but has so much space. It might be in a block behind the sea front hotels but that’s not a difficulty. It’s so quiet, away from traffic and the main visitor walkways. That said, it’s so convenient for the shops, cafes, bars and restaurants of Flowergate and Skinner Street plus the main town areas. Can’t recommend it high enough.

Location was very good, close to lots of restaurants/bars. Very spacious apartment, exceptionally clean and well maintained. Extra little items when checking in such as chocolates, snacks, milk, coffee etc. Parking was nearby an extra charge of £9 per day.

The location was perfect.

Clean and attractively furnished, with a spacious kitchen/sitting room, this flat was well-situated for the West Cliff beach, shops and restaurants. A very enjoyable short break.
