We spent a week over the new year period at this wonderful cottage set in the great location that is Gardenstown

The cottage has everything you need, it’s lovely and warm (it needed to be because the weather was a tad cold and wild !!)

The cottage is clean and modern with a lovely log burning stove Paul the owner was brilliant- easy to get hold of and provided all the info we needed The cottage is a stones throw from the sea and a very short walk into Gardenstown, that has a lovely local pub (The Garden Arms) where we were made to feel extremely welcome by the owners - so much so we became regulars lol There is a lovely little cafe (Eli’s) just off the harbour - well worth a visit Great place to use as a base to explore the Aberdeenshire area (part of the north coast 500) Would highly recommend and we will be back in the future |

Excellent location, just back from the sea front and a short walk to the local store on the main street (The Wee Shoppe). Facilities were good with a large kitchen and living room. Ideal for a family with dogs. Gardenstown is a lovely and unique placmehr anzeigen

The storage heaters took a bit of getting used to and need a full night to charge before heating. But there is a wood fire in the living room until the heaters kick in the next day.

Amazing place. Everything very clean, equipped with necessary tools. Fireplace with prepared wood. Instructions for use for everything, very legible for us, foreigners. Binder with offers of sightseeing places in the area. Very well working internet.mehr anzeigen

Set back from seafront up a few steps between the houses. Nicely decorated and kitchen had all we needed , though the table might be a bit of a squeeze for 4 people. Nice bedrooms though the very small double bed was too tiny for us and we ended up pmehr anzeigen

Other than the above, it was warm and cosy, clean and relaxing and we had a great time!

We got very lucky with the weather, only one morning of rain. The village is a lovely unspoilt place, nice little beach one end and a vibrant harbour the other. The cottage is set back by one row of other cottages from the sea front so only 10mso fromehr anzeigen

The cottage is set back by one row of other cottages from the sea front so only 10mso from the wall which is a nice place to sit with a coffee and look out across the beautiful bay. The cottage is good value for what it provides. It’s relatively basic but perfectly comfortable and functional as a base for a great holiday. Would definitely recommend going.

The sea view was reasonable from all of the seats in the sitting room. Looking at previous reviews, it is clear that the cleanliness issues have been attended to. The area is beautiful and we were even lucky enough to see the northern lights from the front of the cottage. Will definitely be returning.
