Whitby - Appartement

Perhaps a problem with the aerial but could not get any TV channels. Not a major issue as out all the time but others may find it an inconvenience.

No parking but car parking available a few minutes walk away so not a major issue.

We think the mattresses, were a bit too soft, and may need updating.

A king size bed would have been nice but that is only as we are used to it

Parking was difficult, but it was Whitby in Summer after all. Bit of an issue with a bedroom key but it was quickly resolved when the owner was notified.

We were slightly put off by the number of additional charge warnings we received through the automated messaging as it prevented us from feeling fully relaxed.

Only negative, no real view but no issue

Blackout blinds would be good as wooden Venetian blinds in the bedrooms let light in

4pm check in was late and 10am check out was early

Ik had graag iets meer handdoeken gehad. We hadden per persoon 1 grote en 1 kleine handdoek, maar we verbleven er een week. Volgende keer neem ik zelf een paar extra handdoeken mee.

Our preference is for a firmer bed and pillows so we didnt sleep particularly well. The door was locked to the other bedroom which was surprising because we understood we were hiring the whole apartment. Had we been able to access the other bedroom we might have found those beds and pillows more to our liking.

Introduce recycling boxes or bins for guests to use - we have stayed in Whitby on 4 separate occasions & have never found this at any of our accommodations.

Have a look at the shower & it's knobs. It was really difficult to turn on in the first place. It required 2 hands to turn the knob for the water flow & there did not appear to be any ability to adequately turn down the temperature to one which would be less hot, especially for young children. All 3 of us encountered these difficulties.

Curtains would be good too, as the shutters don't keep the daylight out once the sun rises.

The steep internal stairs from the main road into the property could make for difficult access for some. I didn't notice any mention of that when booking, and had I brought my Mum with me, that would have been very problematic.

None of the above would stop us staying here again, in a heartbeat.

It's the best place we've stayed in in Whitby to date.
