Easy access to some picturesque walks and sites. A beautiful cottage to come home to and sit by the log burner in the lounge. Comfy beds, and great to have a bath that was big enough to lay down in.

The cottage is lovely with excellent facilities and in a very good location to access Buxton and the pubs etc within. Takes around 5-10 mins to walk into the town. We were delighted to find plenty of fire wood for the log burner and the house is lovebekijk meer

Location was good for a short walk into town. Warm cosy cottage with welcome ‘bits’ including festive feel. Really relaxing stay. Really liked Dandelion Coffee, Khomkhai Thai restaurant and The Frog bar.

More normal sized mugs for tea would be useful. Some bin bags available would have been good as previous people hadn’t used them so I had to clean the inside of the bin out as it was really smelly and horrid. Shame the doors upstairs are really noisybekijk meer

We arrived during an unusually cold spell in June and needed the heating on to take the chill off the place but it was hard to find the instructions and being a weekend emergency only calls were acceptable.

This is a really well equipped holiday cottage, very comfortable and charming. If you like cooking the kitchen has everything you need including oil, seasoning and plenty of cleaning gear. There were enough dishwasher tablets for one wash a day - onebekijk meer
This is a really well equipped holiday cottage, very comfortable and charming. If you like cooking the kitchen has everything you need including oil, seasoning and plenty of cleaning gear. There were enough dishwasher tablets for one wash a day - one of many considerate touches which showed the owners really thought about their guests' needs. The garden is very nice although the sofa set shown in the photos is no longer there. We really appreciated the treats that had been left for us. Plus the full log basket was a real treat which we made full use of.
In short this felt like staying in someone's very well appointed home and I would definitely return. |

The cottage was beautiful and as described. Communication before arrival was good. Location was great and as we took our dog it was so handy having two paths right next to the cottage which led to the lovely park and Buxton town centre. The centre habekijk meer

Location was great and as we took our dog it was so handy having two paths right next to the cottage which led to the lovely park and Buxton town centre. The centre had a nice selection of shops and plenty of pubs (most of which were dog friendly). Also visited Bakewell, Chatsworth House and Matlock Bath all within a 35min drive of Buxton and worth a visit. The only negative about the cottage was that the grass in the lovely garden hadn’t been mown but this did not ruin our stay. Would highly recommend this accommodation.

A lovely cottage a few minutes walk from Buxton Centre and Pooles Cavern. Parking for two cars and the cottage had everything needed for a well catered long weekend.
