We had an absolutely amazing week at Riversdale Lodge with two families, children and dogs. It really is the perfect place for a relaxing family getaway.

We had an absolutely amazing week at Riversdale Lodge with two families, children and dogs. It really is the perfect place for a relaxing family getaway.
The location is incredible. You feel completely secluded, surrounded by beautiful views and nature, yet there is so much to do without even needing to leave the property. The swimming pool was fantastic and an absolute lifesaver in the hot weather, while the house itself stayed lovely and cool. The zip wire, trampoline, huge garden and multiple seating areas kept everyone entertained, and the pool table and football table in the lounge were a great addition for some evening entertainment. We loved making use of the kayaks and paddleboards on the river. You can even paddle along to the local pubs, or take a short walk or the hand ferry over for some lovely food. There are plenty of options nearby, but you also have everything you need at the house if you want to stay put. Shopping deliveries and takeaways were also delivered easily, which was really convenient. The house is incredibly peaceful. Waking up to the sound of the river and the fountain in the pond was just beautiful. Chrystel was brilliant — quick to respond to any messages and really helpful throughout. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better holiday and have already booked to come back next year, which probably says everything! We absolutely loved Riversdale Lodge and would highly recommend it. |

The only small improvements we would suggest would be updating a few of the showers and having a few more sun loungers around the pool, although neither of these affected our stay at all.

The house is very spacious. The table football and pool table are fabulous for keeping a group entertained in wet weather. Ample space for everyone to lounge together and eat together. The en-suites are pretty compact but it's amazing to have one in bekijk meer
The house is very spacious. The table football and pool table are fabulous for keeping a group entertained in wet weather. Ample space for everyone to lounge together and eat together. The en-suites are pretty compact but it's amazing to have one in all but one bedroom great for guest privacy. The outdoor space is great. The kids (and one of the adults) loved the zip wire and trampoline in the garden. This was a perfect house to celebrate an 80th birthday with eight of us ranging from 9 yrs to 80 yrs. Plenty of walking for those who are able. Ample eateries within a short distance (although worth booking to avoid disappointment). One lovely riverside pub within a 10 minute stroll and a couple of eateries on the opposite side of the river with a fabulous 'hand pulled' ferry (weather/river level permitting) to make the trip across which delighted everyone in our group. Owner very helpful and responsive. Thoroughly recommend!
