Cove View Penthouse is a top-floor, two-bedroom apartment providing stunning sea views over Ilfracombe beach and harbour. The property is well-appointed and provides all the amenities required for an enjoyable self-catering stay in this popular Devon seaside town.
The split-level apartment is located on the third floor and access is via the ground floor door and stairs. Being on the top floor and with a double aspect, it enjoys wonderful sunlight and the stunning views can be especially enjoyed from the living room and dining area. The apartment is open plan making it an ideal place for families to spend time together.
The kitchen comes with all the appliances guests would expect such as an oven, hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. The TV in the living room is a smart TV with Netflix and a DVD player. Wi-Fi is available throughout the apartment.
There is one private car parking space available in the car park opposite the apartments and up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome. Please note the property is on the third floor and there is no lift.
Cove View Penthouse is situated right in the heart of Ilfracombe which is a popular holiday town on the North Devon coast. It started life as a small fishing village but expanded into a beach resort in the Victorian era, particularly after the arrival of the railway. The north coast is a good surfing area and in addition to Ilfracombe's own beaches there are several other stretches of sand within a short drive such as Woolacombe, Croyde Bay and Saunton Sands. Pleasure boats from the harbour in Ilfracombe offer day trips to Lundy Island as well as cruises and fishing trip along the rugged coastline with the chance of spotting seals and other sea creatures.
There is something for everyone in Ilfracombe with its picturesque historic harbour of quaint pastel coloured houses, 14th Century chapel perched on Lantern Hill and Damien Hirst’s statue Verity standing guard at the harbour entrance. The town lies right on the famous South West Coast Path. With its stunning beaches and coves including the famous Tunnels Beaches, great eateries, numerous art and craft galleries, independent shops, activities and attractions galore it truly is the perfect destination from which to also explore North Devon and Exmoor.
The famous Victorian bathing pools at Tunnels Beaches are tucked away at the end of tunnels carved by hand by Welsh miners in the 1820s. Children can play safely in the sea filled pools and enjoy rockpooling.
Guests can stroll along the promenade to discover the delights of Ilfracombe seafront. The Landmark Theatre is North Devon's premier entertainment centre holding performances and exhibitions throughout the year including beer and cider festivals. Next door you will find Ilfracombe Museum with its weird & wonderful curiosities while the Ilfracombe Art and Craft Society Gallery has free exhibitions and is open from Easter to the end of November.
Many of the buildings in the town centre date from the 19th century and most of the shops are independent retailers; some have been in the same family for generations. You will find several food retailers, cafes, restaurants and independent shops.

The location was perfect with super sea views. The apartment itself was spacious and very comfortable with everything you would need. The owner was available on the phone and extremely helpful and accommodating.
