Description
Tucked away amongst the trees at River Valley Country Park, Stargazey is a comfortable two-bedroom lodge that's perfect for couples, families or friends looking for a relaxing stay in West Cornwall. Sleeping up to four guests, it offers everything you need for a self-catering break, with a peaceful setting and a great location for exploring the surrounding coastline and countryside.
The open-plan living, dining and kitchen area is bright and welcoming, creating a sociable space to spend time together. Whether you're enjoying breakfast before a day out or relaxing in the evening, the lodge has all the comforts of home. The kitchen is well equipped with a fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, slow cooker, airfryer and cafetière. Outside, the private decking and garden offers a lovely spot to enjoy your morning coffee or dine outdoors during the warmer months.
Stargazey has two comfortable bedrooms, sleeping up to four guests. The master bedroom features a double bed, while the second bedroom has twin beds that can be pushed together if required. The modern bathroom includes a shower, wash basin and WC, providing everything you need for a comfortable stay.
Located on River Valley Country Park, the lodge is set within a peaceful holiday park surrounded by mature trees and green open spaces. The park offers a quiet countryside setting while remaining within easy reach of many of Cornwall's most popular attractions, making it an ideal base for both relaxing and exploring. The site includes washing facilities with a washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board. The park follows the beautiful River Hayle as it gently meanders towards the stunning St Erth Marshes. Guests can enjoy a peaceful 4-mile riverside walk to St Erth, taking in the tranquil scenery and abundant wildlife along the way.
Fishing enthusiasts will be in their element, with the nearby river offering excellent opportunities and adding another great reason to book a stay. The crystal-clear waters are home to an incredible variety of dragonflies, including several rare species, making this a haven for wildlife lovers. The area is also rich in rare butterflies, moths, birds and insects, creating a paradise for nature enthusiasts, walkers, ramblers and birdwatchers.
Just a short drive away, you'll find Penzance, Marazion and the iconic St Michael's Mount, the picturesque harbour village of Mousehole, and the golden beaches and galleries of St Ives. The South West Coast Path offers spectacular walking routes, while nearby beaches provide plenty of opportunities for swimming, paddleboarding and surfing. There are also beautiful gardens, local pubs, cafés and independent shops to enjoy throughout the area.
If you'd like to explore further afield, West Cornwall has plenty to offer. Visit Land's End, the Minack Theatre or Geevor Tin Mine, discover the tropical biomes at the Eden Project, or spend the day exploring charming Cornish towns such as Padstow, Fowey or Charlestown. Whether you're looking for coastal adventures, family attractions or simply somewhere to unwind, Stargazey is the perfect base for your Cornish getaway.
