For those of you for whom camping sounds daunting, no matter how cunningly the word is disguised, fear not! There are heated indoor showers, flushing loos and hair dryer sockets just a short stroll away, warm blankets for crisp nights around the fire, hot water for tea and coffee and cool boxes to keep your wine cold. The tents all stand in their own private space in one gorgeous meadow, surrounded by tall trees and great views.

The famous bell tent has had a facelift in the years since it was designed as the original scout tent, and all eight of ours are insulated, with the central pole standing at 2.5m high so guests of all heights are comfortable. Also British-made by BCT Outdoors, each contains a blissful double bed and up to two single beds, making the bell suitable for a couple, a family, or groups of 3-4.

All our tents have their own outdoor seating area with fire pit and barbecue, so you can sit back, toast marshmallows and watch the stars while soaking up the peace and quiet of the countryside. We provide logs and newspaper and firelighters so you have everything you need for an amazing fire.

Communal facilities are a short walk away, including a kitchen area with cooker, microwave, kettle and fridge-freezer. We do ask that if you want to play music you keep it quiet, particularly after 10pm.

Home Farm Glamping nestles in acres of beautiful private countryside and there are lots of walks you can take around our lake and woodlands, including our 100 Oak Wood. We also have a kid’s play fort in the woods, croquet lawn, plus plenty of open space to play football, rounders or frisbee, and there’s a badminton set and ping pong table available for everyone's use.

There are several nearby attractions and activities, such as London Elstree Aerodrome, Wembley Stadium Tour, Aldenham Country Park, Harry Potter World at Warner Bros Studio, A1 Shooting School, Lost Jungle Adventure Golf, Go Ape Trent Park, White Water Rafting, and South Medburn Equestrian Centre.

Lots of our guests also visit us as the perfect springboard into London. Green Park Station, in central London, is less than half an hour on the tube from Stanmore (Jubilee Line), and provides the ideal spot to visit many major London sightseeing spots.
