Set in an idyllic hamlet in the heart of Snowdonia (Eryri) National Park, Pen-y-Groes is a charming stone cottage dating back to 1850, full of character and warmth. Surrounded by spectacular scenery, it offers a peaceful retreat while being perfectly placed for exploring some of North Wales’ most iconic landscapes and attractions.

Inside, the cottage blends traditional features with modern comforts. The open-plan living space includes a fitted kitchen and a cosy inglenook fireplace with a multi-fuel stove, ideal for relaxing after a day of exploring. Electric storage heating keeps the cottage warm, while a smart TV, games and books provide entertainment for quieter evenings. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment and dishwasher. The property has two bedrooms, one double and one twin, along with a bathroom with shower.

There are plenty of walking and cycling routes nearby, or you could take on Wales’ highest peak, Mount Snowdon. Within easy reach are Swallow Falls and the popular village of Betws-y-Coed, just 3.5 miles away, where you’ll find shops, cafés, restaurants and a wide range of outdoor and adventure activities. Slightly further afield, but still within 16 miles, are memorable days out at Surf Snowdonia, Zip World Caverns, Go Below’s underground slate mine adventures, the National Trust’s Bodnant Garden, historic Conwy Castle, or a scenic journey on a traditional steam railway.

There is private parking for two cars, and a shop and pub are just a ten-minute walk away. Please note that, due to the age of the cottage, the original staircase is steep. A starter pack for the multi-fuel stove is included in the rent.
