Coach House Cottage is a luxury, Grade II listed property located right in the centre of Blockley village comprising two double bedrooms to sleep four guests.
The property has recently been renovated to an exceptionally high standard and guests will love the mix of contemporary furnishings with characterful features. Many original features remain from the 18th century when the property was first built - guests will love the exposed Cotswolds stonework and chains from where a family in the village used to come and park their horses. The front windows used to be the main stable doors. Throughout its time, the building has also been the local fire station where fire engines were housed, the Blockley children’s nursery, Blockley Cafe, and the local Post Office and shop.
The property opens up in to a large open-plan living, dining and kitchen area with enough space to comfortably accommodate four people. Both bedrooms have double beds and luxury Egyptian cotton sheets with one benefiting from views of the pretty Norman churchyard next door and an ensuite bathroom. Plenty of finishing touches reveal the incredible attention to detail that help make the property stand out from the crowd and leave guests with a real sense of luxury.
The lounge is no different with it luxury furnishings and styling. Guests can also enjoy fast, fibre optic Wi-Fi and a smart TV which includes Netflix. The Netflix account comes with all required passwords for use by guests. There is also a selection of board games for guests to enjoy of an evening or during rainy weather.
The property is adjacent to the Blockley village cafe and shop which serves tea & coffee, and cooks up fabulous breakfasts and lunches from locally-sourced ingredients. There are also two local pubs to choose from in the village, both within easy walking distance of the front door.
Please note there is no designated parking area. However, guests can park anywhere in the village free of charge and spaces are usually easy to find. There is a parking area directly in front of the property and this is open to public use. Guests can usually find this vacant early morning, late afternoon and evening. Please feel free to park here if there is space.
