Ivy Cottage is a charming, traditional stone-built cottage nestled in the heart of the historic fishing village of Boscastle. Situated just a short stroll from the picturesque harbour, this delightful end-of-terrace home combines character and comfort to create a welcoming retreat for families and friends, sleeping up to six guests. With spectacular coastal walks just minutes away, a beautifully tiered garden and thoughtfully designed interiors, Ivy Cottage provides a wonderful base for exploring the Cornish coast.
The living room features a woodburning stove, TV, Sky and DVD player, creating a cosy space to unwind after a day exploring the coast. The kitchen and dining room offer everything needed for a self-catering stay, including an electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. There is also a separate toilet on the ground floor.
Upstairs, the cottage has a king-size bedroom, a twin bedroom and a bespoke bunk bedroom featuring adult-sized beds, making it a comfortable and practical option for both children and grown-ups. A family bathroom with a bath and shower over serves the bedrooms. The sun room provides additional space to relax and includes a bespoke dog bed for guests travelling with their four-legged companions.
Outside, the enclosed, three-tier garden offers a variety of inviting spaces to enjoy throughout the day. Step out onto the patio, relax on the decking or gather around the fire pit in the evening. Bespoke seating crafted from slate and railway sleepers adds a distinctive character to the garden, creating a lovely spot to sit back and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Garden furniture, a barbecue and a covered seating area overlooking the Jordan Valley and surrounding countryside complete this appealing outdoor space. An initial supply of logs for the wood burner is provided during the winter season. Private parking for one car and an electric vehicle charging point are also available.

Wow what a fantastic cottage, very clean, well done cleaners. Best equipped cottage we have ever stayed in. Fantastic for our dogs who had a fantastic holiday. Great location and kept us fit walking up and down to Boscastle. We will definitely book tsee more

Ivy Cottage was perfect for us and we had a brilliant week. Really well equipped kitchen, beautifully clean, great living space inside and outside, and well located in Boscastle so very easy for the shops but also a short (steep) walk to the coastal see more

Ivy Cottage is a wonderful place to stay. My wife and I have just had a week there with our dog and have stayed previously, prior to the recent renovation. The cottage is immaculate and every need has been thought through. The kitchen is very well equipped and the living room is cosy and comfy.
We found a lovely welcome basket on arrival, including a tasty bottle of Cornish cider! The beds and bed linen are very comfortable and there’s ample storage. Outside, there are several different seating areas and the new fire pit area is a great addition. Even the dog area has been considered with a lot of detail. They even have their own welcome selection of goodies! Overall, a perfect week away in a gorgeous area. We’ll definitely return. Excellent local coffee shops in the village and the Wellington pub, which is dog friendly, was a great place for dinner. Don’t forget the coastal path: amazing views! Thanks for a wonderful week |

The cottage is thoughtfully appointed with modern appliances and I particularly appreciated the nightlights on each floor, which can be lifted out to become torches: a very practical addition that I wouldn’t have thought of.

The cottage is thoughtfully appointed with modern appliances and I particularly appreciated the nightlights on each floor, which can be lifted out to become torches: a very practical addition that I wouldn’t have thought of.
We visited in late July 2026 and had plans to do a lot of day trips. In fact, we only did two because we enjoyed the cottage so much. Many hours were spent snoozing on the decking and cooking marshmallows over the fire pit. We were very, very lucky with the weather, but on a colderwetter visit the living room is cosy, with a little wood burner, and the TV stand is stocked with many DVDs. The TV itself is a modern smart one, so you can log into your subscriptions without needing to bring a Fire Sticksimilar. The internet is more than fast enough to support video streaming on several devices at once. The walk down Old Road into the village is surprisingly quick and short enough that you’re back at the cottage before the hill tires you out. In addition to the popular tourist shops and pubs at the bottom of the village, I would also recommend trying out the quieter pub a short walk further up the hill, called the Napoleon. Thank you for making this superb cottage available to us. |
