Located within the stunning Edwardian town of Grange-over-Sands, Sunny Bank is your perfect escape to the southern tip of the Cartmel peninsula, nestled between the mountains and the sea. Dating back to the 13th century, Grange had been a major route on the shores of Morcambe Bay and as such, exudes centuries of history throughout the town. Sunny Bank is a carefully thought of property, with decades of history feeding into the ethos of delighting guests.
Nature enthusiasts can take advantage of the vast arrange of wildlife that can be seen, whether at the Victorian influenced Ornamental Gardens with its unusual wildfowl population by the lake, or the Community Orchard, made up with an array of rare and unusual varieties of apple trees, in addition to the evergreens and shrub borders.
Sunny Bank provides comfortable, self-sufficient accommodation for three in this 18th century, 2-bedroom cottage. Named as such and taking advantage of the views, the rear garden complete with furniture is the perfect place to relax and see the views afar within this beautiful space. Inside you will find all the amenities you should require for a comfortable stay, with a fully equipped kitchen should you wish to cook up a feast! However, there are plenty of beautiful restaurants and cafes only a short walk away into town, where you’ll be spoilt for choice.
Take advantage of the unique independent shops within Grange where owners are passionate about their tranquil little town, from Hazelmere Café and its delicious selection of tea’s, the handmade chocolate shop café Choco Lori, to delicious award winning pies at Higginson’s Butchers. A short trip to the ancient village of Cartmel and its 11th century priory is a must see, with plenty of sights to behold and incredible walks to traverse all around the Cartmel Peninsula. Cartmel offers artisan breads, cheese and famous sticky toffee pudding, not forgetting its Michelin Star restaurants! Golfing enthusiasts can take advantage of the stunning views over Morecambe Bay and Cartmel at the friendly and welcoming Grange Fell Golf Club, whilst the historic Cartmel Racecourse has regular events since its beginnings with the Priory's 12th century monks.

Surprised to find on arrival that there was only a bath and no shower. The large jug provided was very useful for hair washing! Did not realise there was no WiFi when we booked though realised before we arrived. Needed to go down the road for a good see more
