Drovers Retreat at Graig Farm is an award-winning and converted eco stone barn set in the beautiful Welsh Border countryside of Powys. Perfect for couples, families, walkers, cyclists and dog lovers, it provides an ideal base to relax and reconnect with nature. A travel cot and high chair are also available, making it especially convenient for those travelling with young children.

Inside, the cottage centres around a warm and inviting open-plan living space. The living room features a striking vaulted ceiling and a log burner, creating a welcoming atmosphere whatever the season. There is a comfortable seating area for unwinding, along with a dining space perfect for enjoying meals together. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything needed for a self-catering stay, allowing you to cook and dine at your own pace. A thoughtfully prepared welcome pack awaits your arrival, featuring tea, coffee, milk, homemade flapjacks, and a bottle of either our own or locally sourced apple juice.

The accommodation sleeps four across two well-appointed bedrooms, comprising one double room and one twin room, ideal for families or friends. The bathroom is fitted with both a bath and shower, giving you the option of a quick refresh or a long soak after a day spent outdoors.

Adjoining the cottage is a large traditional stone and timber barn, which serves as a fantastic games room complete with table football, snooker and darts—perfect for all ages to enjoy. This space leads out to an outdoor seating area set amongst the trees, offering a peaceful spot to relax and take in the natural surroundings. There is also convenient on-site parking available for guests.

Drovers Retreat lies above a historic medieval drovers road, which gives the property its name and adds to its unique character. From the doorstep, you can walk or cycle along green lanes, forest tracks and footpaths, soaking up the sights and sounds of the countryside. Red kites and buzzards can often be seen circling overhead, while sheep graze in the fields below. Guests can also enjoy the Drovers Woodland Walk on the farm, where you can uncover its history while children and dogs explore the fenced regenerating wild area.
