Morland - Cottage

Bourne Edge is a charming and characterful holiday cottage, ideal for couples, friends or small families looking for a comfortable and relaxed stay. With its traditional features and cosy feel throughout, it offers a welcoming base to return to after a day of exploring.

The living room is warm and inviting, centred around a wood-burning stove set within a feature fireplace – perfect for relaxed evenings in. A separate dining area provides a dedicated space for meals and gathering together, while the adjoining kitchen is well equipped with a half-size fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster and cafetière. There is a washing machine located in the outbuilding. The family bathroom includes a bath, wash basin and toilet.

Upstairs are two bedrooms: one with a double bed and a second room with a two-person bunk bed, ideal for children or additional guests.

To the rear, a good sized enclosed garden offers a pleasant outdoor space to enjoy a quiet morning coffee or evening drink. Parking is available for one car under the archway, with additional public spaces opposite the property.

The village is conveniently located 15-20 minutes drive from Penrith train station which is on the West Coast mainline (3 hours from London), and only 15 minutes from the M6 motorway. Taxis are available from Penrith station.

Morland is a quintessential Cumbrian village set in the beautiful Eden Valley, loved for its tranquil, picture-perfect setting and easy access to some of the region’s best countryside. The peaceful village is bisected by the gentle flow of Morland Beck, with historic stone cottages and green fields all around creating a truly rural atmosphere. Beyond the peaceful setting of Morland, guests will find a wealth of attractions and natural beauty to explore. The breathtaking landscapes of the Lake District National Park are within easy reach, with Ullswater offering scenic lake cruises, lakeside walks and the dramatic Aira Force waterfall. The vibrant market towns of Keswick, Windermere and Ambleside provide charming streets, independent shops and classic Lakeland views.
