Description
Nestled amongst a row of traditional granite cottages just moments from Mousehole’s picturesque harbour, Agan Chi is a charming coastal retreat full of Cornish character. Sleeping up to three guests, this delightful cottage provides an excellent base from which to explore one of Cornwall’s most enchanting fishing villages and the spectacular coastline beyond.
Stepping inside, guests are welcomed into an entrance hall leading through to the living room. Comfortable seating, a Smart TV and adjustable mood lighting create an inviting space to relax after a day by the sea, while a dining table for three provides the perfect spot for leisurely breakfasts and evening meals. Adjoining the living area is a well-equipped kitchen featuring everything needed for a self-catering stay, including an electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and microwave. A handy ground-floor cloakroom houses a WC and washing machine.
The cottage's bedrooms are arranged over the upper floors. On the first floor, you'll find a charming single bedroom alongside a modern shower room with WC. Climb to the second floor and discover the delightful king-size bedroom tucked beneath the eaves. Flooded with natural light from Velux windows, this peaceful retreat enjoys rooftop views and glimpses of the sea beyond, adding to the cottage’s coastal charm.
Outside, a shared courtyard leads to a raised decked sun terrace. Whether enjoying a morning coffee in the sunshine or a quiet moment at the end of the day, this welcoming outdoor space offers a lovely place to relax. Beyond the courtyard gate, a pathway leads directly down into the heart of the village.
Mousehole is widely regarded as one of Cornwall’s prettiest fishing villages, with its sheltered harbour, narrow winding streets and timeless collection of traditional stone cottages. Situated within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the village is a haven for artists, photographers and nature lovers alike. Watch fishing boats come and go from the harbour, browse independent galleries and shops, or simply wander the atmospheric lanes that have made Mousehole such a beloved destination. The village also benefits from excellent bus links to nearby Penzance, making it easy to explore the area without relying on a car.
For those wishing to venture further afield, West Cornwall offers an abundance of unforgettable attractions. Visit the spectacular Minack Theatre at Porthcurno, dramatically perched on the cliffs overlooking the Atlantic, or discover the fairy-tale beauty of St Michael’s Mount at Marazion. The South West Coast Path provides endless opportunities for scenic walks, while nearby beaches, hidden coves and historic landmarks ensure there is something for everyone to enjoy throughout the year.
Please note that there is no allocated parking at the property. There are several car park options close by and you can stop outside the property to unload/load your car.
