Description
Arosfa is a bright and welcoming two bedroom detached cottage, within easy reach of the beautiful Church Bay on the Isle of Anglesey.
Recently refurbished, the cottage is very well appointed, spacious and airy, and has a chic stylish coastal feel. There is a large entrance hall, leading into the living and dining space which has plenty of room to relax in, with a huge corner sofa to sink into, wall-mounted flatscreen TV, and a log burner for that wonderful cosy glow in an evening. The dining table and chairs comfortably seat four, and a highchair is available on request. The kitchen is modern, well-equipped and stylish, having full oven, hob, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.
The bedrooms are both on the ground floor also, and are spacious and have plenty of storage. The master bedroom has a queen size bed, and the second is a twin room with two full size singles. There is also a travel cot available upon request should it be needed.
The family size bathroom is contemporary and fully tiled, offering a bath with mains shower over, a large basin and close-coupled WC.
Outside, the garden is ideally arranged for family fun, being enclosed with a lawn, patio area and garden furniture for outside dining, and relaxing after a day at the beach. The outdoor hot tub is a wonderful luxury feature, and ideal for enjoying the fresh coastal air at any time of year!
There is off-road private parking for one car on the driveway of the house, fibre-optic broadband, and a maximum of two dogs are welcome.
The nearby Church Bay Beach (called Porth Swtan in Welsh), is a beautiful, unspoilt sand and pebble beach edged with rock pools. Dogs are allowed on the beach at all times of the year and swimming, sailing, fishing and surfing are all popular activities available here. The local restaurant is famous for its lobster and the area boasts many great places to enjoy a meal out.
Fydlyn Beach and Porth Tywyn Mawr are other beaches within a mile or two of Abersant House. Fydlyn is a secluded shingle beach that sits in the shelter of the rocky islets of Ynys y Fydlyn while Porth Tywyn Mawr is half a mile of beautiful golden sand and largely backed by low dunes. It’s a popular spot for watersports such as sailing, jet-skiing, kite-surfing, kayaking and surfing.

Just some feedback that when we first arrived there was a smell of damp in the bungalow although this seemed to dissipate after a daytwo. We have a well behaved Greyhound and I would say the garden is enclosed but not secure for large breeds as the wall at the back and side is quite low. However, we monitored her in the garden so all was well.

Lovely stay on Anglesey

We spent a lovely Christmas at Arosfa. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and kept us topped up with wood for the woodstove. The space was perfect for our family of 4 and had everything we needed.

We love other peoples furry friends and appreciate accommodations that allow pets, but there was a layer of dog fur throughout the main living space when we arrived, as well, the vacuum canister hadn't been emptied in awhile, so it was completely fulsee more
We love other peoples furry friends and appreciate accommodations that allow pets, but there was a layer of dog fur throughout the main living space when we arrived, as well, the vacuum canister hadn't been emptied in awhile, so it was completely full. As well, I think when you have guests staying for a longer period (weekly), accommodating them with more than one rubbish bag/loo roll etc. could bring the property from a 4 star to a 5 star level.

Thank you so much for your feedback Diane & do apologise for the missed fur. We hope we can welcome you back in the future & give you the 5* level instead of the 4 :)

Good location for exploring some of the more rural parts of Anglesey, The hot tub and wood burner were lovely additions to our week and had a great shower!

Decor felt a little tired and good do with a refresh, the garden in places could do with tidying as there were old paint pots laying around

We've really enjoyed our stay in this peaceful & beautiful location. Cosy & spacious home for 4. Watching sunsets from the Hot tub in the evenings was our daily highlights. Close drive to Holyhead shops, nice walks to several beaches & great for daily trips to many popular places eg Llandudno, Conwy, Snowdonia. I found everything I needed to cook in the kitchen, spacious too & we used the hatch to the dining room all the time - nice touch connecting both spaces. Lots of storage space available for long stays in every room.
