The characterful Marmaduke Cottage exudes a warm and welcoming charm, with traditional features reflecting the age and historical significance of its Grade II listing. The cottage showcases original Yorkshire sash windows, beamed ceilings, and quarry tiled floors.
Marmaduke Cottage can sleep up to three guests over two well-presented bedrooms. Traditional steep cottage stairs lead up to the front-facing double bedroom, which overlooks a tranquil lane and includes built-in wardrobes. The smaller, cottage-style single bedroom offers views of the garden.
Guests can enjoy a fully equipped kitchen with custom-made pine units, a Belfast sink, electric oven with hob, washing machine, fridge freezer, and microwave. Adjacent to the kitchen is a dining area that can comfortably accommodate four people.
The country-style sitting room offers a cozy retreat after a day of exploration, featuring a sofa and two armchairs for watching TV, reading a book, or simply relaxing. Wi-Fi is included during your stay, but please note that open fires are currently not permitted.
In line with the cottage's style, the bathroom features a bath, washbasin, and toilet. Due to the sloping roof, it is not possible to install a shower.
The south-facing rear garden is a delightful spot for enjoying a morning coffee. It features a paved area with seating, a flower bed adorned with roses and summer flowers, and a lawn. Additionally, there is a garden shed that provides storage space for bikes.
