The large open-plan living, dining and kitchen area forms the heart of the farmhouse, with a large wooden dining table providing a wonderful space for everyone to come together over meals. The stylish country kitchen is well equipped for any self-catering stay. The welcoming sitting area features relaxed seating around a traditional fireplace with a log burner, perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the countryside. The separate ground floor snug provides cosy seating in front of a log burner, a window seat for enjoying a book with a view, and a quiet space to relax away from the main living space.

Upstairs, Peacock Farmhouse has three comfortable bedrooms. The first two bedrooms both feature kingsize beds and the third bedroom has two single beds, making it a flexible space for children, friends or family members. The bedrooms provide peaceful and relaxing spaces to retreat to at the end of the day, while the upstairs bathroom facilities ensure guests have everything they need close at hand. The first bedroom has a stylish marble ensuite shower room and there is a generous family bathroom with a freestanding bath perfect for enjoying the view from and a separate shower cubicle.

The property is well equipped and recently renovated to a high specification whilst keeping the character of the building; Vintage and traditional family games and books are perfect for a cosy afternoon in front of the fire. The kitchen is well equipped with range cooker, dishwasher, washing machine, coffee machine and all you need.

Outside, the farmhouse benefits from a beautiful stone patio and garden area, offering a wonderful place to make the most of the countryside setting. Outdoor seating provides the perfect spot for morning coffee, an al fresco lunch or an evening drink warmed by the firepit, or hot tub, while the views stretch across the surrounding green hills and countryside. It is a wonderfully peaceful space in which to sit back and enjoy the fresh country air and watch the many birds in the area including the resident friendly peacock. A boule court and dog walking field are also available for use at the farm.

The farmhouse is ideally placed for exploring the surrounding Derbyshire countryside, including the Chatsworth estate which the farm borders. The historic market town of Bakewell and Chatsworth House with its magnificent gardens are only a few miles away, and many destinations such as Haddon Hall, Castleton, Matlock Bath, the Spa town Buxton offer further opportunities for sightseeing, shopping and exploring all within a 30 min drive. For the active, the Open Air Lido at Hathersage and surrounding climbing and mountain bike trails are close by. The area is renowned for its beautiful walking and cycling routes, picturesque villages and spectacular landscapes, with plenty of opportunities to head out and explore straight from the doorstep Guides and maps can be found in the house. The nearby Monsal Trail is particularly popular for walking and cycling, winding past Thornbridge Hall and through the stunning Wye Valley and former railway tunnels.

Closer to home, the local pub/restaurant is dog friendly and a farm servicing organic milkshakes is on hand in Hassop if you don’t want to drive or walk far. The Chatsworth farmshop, and pubs and shops in the charming villages of Pilsley and Baslow are both within a 35 min walk across the fields.
