Set directly beside the sands of Widemouth Bay, Gaia is an exceptional five-bedroom coastal retreat created for unforgettable stays on the North Cornwall coast. Designed to make the most of its spectacular setting, Gaia’s reverse-level layout places the main living spaces on the first floor, where expansive glazing draws your eye straight towards the Atlantic. The beautifully designed open-plan kitchen, dining and living area is a wonderfully sociable space, whether you’re preparing a long breakfast before heading to the beach or gathering around the table for dinner as the sun goes down.

The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped, with a double oven, induction hob, microwave, double fridge-freezer, dishwasher and plate warmer, while a separate utility room provides a washing machine and tumble dryer. There is also a boot room with an additional WC.

The main living room has intentionally been kept TV-free, creating a peaceful space for conversation, music and simply watching the changing sea. A Sonos speaker system provides the soundtrack, while those looking for a film night can retreat to the separate cinema room with its large smart TV and comfortable seating.

Wellness is at the heart of a stay at Gaia. Spend time in the private Finnish sauna, enjoy the dedicated space for yoga and relaxation, or step outside and sink into the private hot tub. The enclosed garden is sheltered by high walls and also features outdoor furniture and a hot outdoor shower – particularly welcome after a morning in the surf.

Upstairs, the generous first-floor balcony provides another beautiful place to take in the coastal scenery, while Gaia’s roof terrace offers an even more memorable vantage point. As evening falls and the light fades over Widemouth Bay, it’s a wonderful spot to experience Cornwall’s expansive night skies.

Gaia sleeps up to ten guests across five en suite bedrooms, all with walk-in wardrobes, making it an outstanding choice for families and groups wanting to experience the coast together without compromising on space or privacy. The impressive master suite has a super-king-size bed and its own en suite bathroom with a freestanding bath, walk-in shower and WC. Three further bedrooms have king-size beds and the fifth is a twin, each with its own en suite shower room. There is also an additional separate WC located next to the cinema.

The location is difficult to beat. Step through Gaia’s front gate and Widemouth Bay’s beach, café and surf hire are directly outside, making spontaneous beach days and early-morning surf sessions effortless. The South West Coast Path opens up miles of spectacular coastline to explore, while Bude is just three miles away for shops, restaurants and more of North Cornwall’s laid-back coastal atmosphere.

Despite its wonderfully secluded feel, Gaia has been designed to make arriving and settling in simple. There is private parking for up to five cars, an EV charger and keyless entry, so there’s no need to worry about taking keys down to the beach. A travel cot and highchair are also available for younger guests, and one dog is welcome, with an additional charge.

For guests’ security, exterior CCTV operates 24 hours a day around the property. The property is available for bookings from Easter through to the end of October.
