We’ve just had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb near Harrogate — it was perfect for a weekend away with friends. The house offered ample space for our group, making it easy to relax and enjoy our time together from the moment we arrived.

The location was ideal, especially for our trip to Brimham Rocks, which was a real highlight of the weekend. It’s a fantastic base for exploring the surrounding area. The host was lovely and incredibly attentive, getting in touch before and during our stay to make sure everything was okay. They were very accommodating with special requests and made us feel genuinely welcome throughout. |

The only small issue we encountered was that a couple of our party arrived after dark and found it slightly difficult to locate the house. A more obvious sign at the end of the driveway would make it absolutely perfect.

The kitchen, although functional, lacked the usual essentials you’d expect in self-catering accommodation of such calibre. There were no dishwasher tablets, no salt and pepper, no foil, and no basic cooking oil. In many similar properties, a small welcome hamper with a few local items — such as milk, bread, or eggs — adds a warm, personal touch. It doesn’t need to be extravagant, but it does make guests feel valued. Unfortunately, this cottage didn’t offer anything like that, which made it feel a little unloved. However, for the price point ( over £600 for a weekend), One detail that felt particularly out of place was a lip balm for sale in a kitchen cupboard, with an honesty box asking for £5.
