The accommodation is ideal for friends and families and has been carefully furnished and decorated throughout. The spacious living room features a wood burner, creating a warm and inviting space to relax while enjoying a film on the Smart TV. The open-plan kitchen and dining area is well-equipped with an electric range cooker, an American fridge freezer, washer-dryer, dishwasher, coffee machine and bi-fold doors that open onto the garden, allowing guests to make the most of the stunning views.
The property accommodates up to eight guests across four thoughtfully furnished bedrooms. The master bedroom includes a super king-size bed, a Smart TV, and an ensuite with a walk-in shower. A second bedroom offers two single beds, while the third first floor features a double bed. The fourth bedroom, also located on the first floor, also has two single beds. The home has three bathrooms, including a family bathroom with a bath and shower cubicle, as well as two additional shower rooms.
Outside, the private garden and patio provide the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. There is private parking for four cars and an electric vehicle charging point available for an additional charge (£12.50 per day).
Heather Lea is ideally situated for exploring the best of North Yorkshire. Pateley Bridge is just four miles away, offering independent shops, traditional pubs, and charming tea rooms. The historic spa town of Harrogate, known for its Victorian Spa Baths, boutique shopping, and the famous Betty’s Tea Room, is twelve miles away. The ancient city of York, with its Gothic Minster, cobbled streets, and fascinating museums, is within easy reach.

We’ve just had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb near Harrogate — it was perfect for a weekend away with friends. The house offered ample space for our group, making it easy to relax and enjoy our time together from the moment we arrived.

We’ve just had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb near Harrogate — it was perfect for a weekend away with friends. The house offered ample space for our group, making it easy to relax and enjoy our time together from the moment we arrived.
The location was ideal, especially for our trip to Brimham Rocks, which was a real highlight of the weekend. It’s a fantastic base for exploring the surrounding area. The host was lovely and incredibly attentive, getting in touch before and during our stay to make sure everything was okay. They were very accommodating with special requests and made us feel genuinely welcome throughout. |

The only small issue we encountered was that a couple of our party arrived after dark and found it slightly difficult to locate the house. A more obvious sign at the end of the driveway would make it absolutely perfect.

I recently stayed here booked through Finest Retreats. The cottage itself is genuinely beautiful — spotlessly clean, warm, and very comfortable. The underfloor heating was a real highlight and made the space feel cosy throughout our stay.

I was disappointed by several missing basics that affected the overall experience. Each guest was provided with only one bath towel and no hand towels, aside from a single shared hand towel in each of the three toilets. The hand soap dispensers weresee more
I was disappointed by several missing basics that affected the overall experience. Each guest was provided with only one bath towel and no hand towels, aside from a single shared hand towel in each of the three toilets. The hand soap dispensers were empty, which felt like an oversight.
The kitchen, although functional, lacked the usual essentials you’d expect in self-catering accommodation of such calibre. There were no dishwasher tablets, no salt and pepper, no foil, and no basic cooking oil. In many similar properties, a small welcome hamper with a few local items — such as milk, bread, or eggs — adds a warm, personal touch. It doesn’t need to be extravagant, but it does make guests feel valued. Unfortunately, this cottage didn’t offer anything like that, which made it feel a little unloved. However, for the price point ( over £600 for a weekend), One detail that felt particularly out of place was a lip balm for sale in a kitchen cupboard, with an honesty box asking for £5. Unfortunately the key safe was very hard to open, eventually discovered the number sent was off by 1 digit! Also requested travel cot through earlier emails but was told one was not available through you or the owners when it clearly states in the desee more

Both minor but annoying details that in the end did not affect the quality of our stay
